John and Kathy Deisher at a Glance
John & Kathy have served as Assemblies of God missionaries to university students since 1990. After 26 years of ministry with Chi Alpha at Texas A&M University, John and Kathy joined the Oklahoma State University–Chi Alpha (OSUXA) team and pioneered the Branding Iron Academy, a 10-month intensive internship training program. The first intern finished and received his ministerial credentials in 2018. Last year, nine more interns completed their training. The Lord sent every one of these graduates into the harvest, serving on five universities in Oklahoma and soon to be on two campuses in Kiev, Ukraine. They are an answer to the prayers of believers.
What We Do
Chi Alpha Campus Ministries exists to reconcile students to Christ and equip them through Spirit-filled communities of prayer, worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission to transform the university, the marketplace, and the world. Some graduates answer the call to become full-time missionaries, while others seek to expand the Kingdom as marketplace professionals. Through John and Kathy’s ministry with OSUXA and the training received through the Branding Iron Academy, these men and women go as teams—some as full-time missionaries and some as marketplace missionaries—to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
